LSI Logic Corporation announced that JVC (Victor Company of Japan, Limited) has selected the LSI Logic DiMeNsion single-chip DVD recorder system processor for its latest line of single- and combination-drive DVD recorders, DR-M1, DR-MF1, DR-MV1, and DR-MH5. JVC adopted DiMeNsion processors for their market-leading features and product flexibility, which allowed JVC to deliver a variety of products, such as stand-alone DVD recorders, combination VHS/DVD recorders, and combination hard disk drive (HDD)/DVD recorders. The products are expected to be available in Europe (DR-M1 and DR-MV1) and Japan (DR-MF1 and DR-MH5).
