Samsung Electronics America, Inc., which entered the burgeoning Home Theater in a Box (HTIB) category in 2002, announces four additions to its HTIB line, the HT-DS100, the HT-DS610, the HT-DS1000 and the HT-DS1860. Each player also features a Composite, S-Video and Optical Digital In, and a JPEG CD viewer for displaying digital camera snapshots or other computer-generated images. In addition the HT-DS100 features surround sound with 40 watts per channel and a 55-watt subwoofer in the 255-watt system. The HT-DS610 goes further to include DVD Audio and surround sound with 100 watts per channel and a 100-watt subwoofer in the 600-watt system.
