Zektor Introduces DVS5.1, A DVI Digital Video Switch With Digital Audio

Zektor, LLC announced the introduction of the DVS5.1 Digital video and audio switch. The DVS5.1 provides 5 inputs and 1 output for DVI video and digital audio over coax and optical. ""Weíve taken the time do design our new DVI switch specifically for the home theater market, and not port a design over from the PC world,"" states Bill Paul, President and Co-founder of ZEKTOR, LLC. ""To us, this meant support for passing through HDCP encryption, all inputs and outputs on the rear, both IR and RS-232 control, along with an rack mountable enclosure that exceeds the expectations of consumer electronics buyers."" The DVS5.1 also features the ability to switch audio separately from video, creating added flexibility to the design. As with previous ZEKTOR switches, the DVS5.1 has one Z-Slot, which allows an optional RS-232 module today, and other communication options in the future.
