THX Certified DVDs Take Technical Honors At 2004 VSDA Home Entertainment Awards

THX Ltd., announced that four THX Certified DVDs received technical honors from the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) at their annual 2004 Home Entertainment Awards earlier this month. The THX winners were: ""The Adventures Of Indiana Jones"" from Paramount Home Entertainment; ""Alien Quadrilogy"" from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment; and ""Finding Nemo"" and ""Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl,"" both from Buena Vista Home Entertainment. The VSDA winners were determined by a panel of expert judges from the editorial communities of the home entertainment and consumer electronics industries. Each DVD was reviewed for both audio and visual quality, as well as menu features and bonus material. THX Digital Works provided DVD mastering and quality control services for the post-production of four of the VSDA winners.
