Music Video Distributors and CBGB are pleased to announce the home viewing release of Dead Boys ñ Live at CBGB 1977 for North American distribution on DVD. This 1977 performance from New York's legendary CBGB proves why the Dead Boys were the epitome of snotty punk rock. They took the level of violence, anarchy, and nastiness of the genre to extreme new levels. Characterized by Stiv Bator's audience provoking on-stage antics, along with the band's aggressive power chord punch, the Dead Boys have earned their title as one of the greatest and most influential punk bands in history. This is director Rod Swensonís three-camera color shoot featuring the lineup of Stiv Bators, Cheetah Chrome, Jimmy Zero, Johnny Blitz and Jeff Magnum. ""When I look at these tapes, nearly 30 years after shooting them, I can remember thinking the Dead Boys, at least for some brief period of time, were the greatest rock band on Earth. I still feel that way... I'm really glad that we shot these tapes, hung onto them, and were able to restore them sufficiently, I hope, so that others today - in a world that seems more and more comprised of formula and poser bands - can share this experience and see instead what the real deal was about: The incredible, phenomenal, Dead Boys."" - Rod Swenson Tracklist: Sonic Reducer All This and More Not Anymore Revenge Flame Thrower Love I Need Lunch Ain't Nothin' to Do What Love Is High Tension Wire Search & Destroy Bonus materials: Great interviews of the band from 1977 1977 promotional Dead Boys clip New interviews with Cheetah Chrome & Hilly Kristal Bonus clip of the Steel Tips Alternate camera angle - the Johnny Blitz-cam!
