Day-Long Family Programming In High Definition From Discovery HD Theater

In keeping with its commitment to provide entertainment for the entire family, Discovery HD Theater is serving up multiple courses of high-definition programming on Thanksgiving Day with ì14 Courses of HD,î a 15-hour programming block beginning at 10 AM Eastern. On Friday, November 26 viewers can get even more with ìSecond Helpings,î six of the most requested long form documentaries from Discovery HD Theaterís library, beginning at 1 PM Eastern. Programming planned for ì14 Courses of HDî includes episodes of American Chopper (6 PM and 7 PM) and Monster Garage (10 AM and 12 PM), two of Discovery Channelís highest-rated series. Also included in the daylong holiday extravaganza is nature and wildlife programming that highlights the HD picture. Programs include Meerkat Adventure (4 PM), The Blue Realm: Giants Of San Benedicto (5 PM), Great White Shark: Uncaged (10 PM) and Serengeti Symphony (11 pm). Other documentaries examine world cultures, science and technology and include Concorde: The Final Flight (1 PM), Dawn Of The Pamir (2 PM) and Miracle Of Pantanal (3 PM). In that same vein, Extreme Engineering: Off Shore Oil Platforms gets its network premiere in HD at 9 PM. On Friday, ìSecond Helpingsî will feature the networkís most requested long form (two-hour) documentaries.
