Destiny Networks announced Point & Click Configuration of a Home Theater - enabling integrators to ìprogramî a control system for a Home Theater by just adding wires to a schematic. After adding all the wires, the program to respond to a hand held remote control is automatically generated and a Graphical User Interface is created, too. At the same time, the Point & Click Configuration produces a wiring diagram that can be used for installation of the Home Theater. To control home theaters in the past, integrators spent many hours programming a remote control or a graphical display in order to provide the homeowner with an easy-to-use interface for controlling the home theater. Now, with the Ubiquityô software application from Destiny Networks, the programming for both a handheld remote and a graphical display can be generated automatically using a CAD-like application and clicking on the ports of the AV components that are physically wired to each other. The two steps to configure a home theater are: 1) add the AV components to the schematic and 2) wire them together just the way they will be physically wired. The result is a self-documenting schematic that can be used for installing the AV components and the automatic generation of the control programs.
