International CES Partners With IEEE/Wescon To Showcase Advanced Technologies At 2006 International CES

The International CESÆ announced today that it is partnering with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc. (IEEE)/Wescon to co-locate its conference at the 2006 International CES. In conjunction, IEEE/Wescon will produce conference sessions and a TechZone showcasing advanced technologies in Innovations Plus at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. The International CES, the world's largest annual consumer technology tradeshow, will run January 5-8, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. ""This partnership is a perfect fit with the new and emerging technologies that will be featured at Innovations Plus at the Sands during the 2006 International CES,"" said Karen Chupka, Vice President of Events and Conferences for CEA, Producer of the International CES. ""IEEE/Wescon at CES will be a major draw for several of our key audiences, including the increasing numbers of engineers who attend our show to see and hear the latest technology trends."" The IEEE/Wescon conference sessions and TechZone will focus on emerging technologies, including power electronics, nanotechnologies and ultra wideband. The International CES will use halls B and C of the Sands Expo and Convention Center Innovations Plus which will feature emerging technology product categories, digital content and production and the popular CES TechZones and Innovations award honorees.
