SpeakerCraft Makes Pivotal Decision

15-Jul-05

SpeakerCraft announces the a dramatic improvement in the heart of its speaker line-up. With the introduction of the AIM Series of loudspeakers in 1998 SpeakerCraft revolutionized the ceiling speaker by allowing the entire driver compliment to be physically aimed at the listening area. Ceiling speakers could then be focused at the listener creating a vastly superior sound field and making a complete in-ceiling home theater possible. However, until now, this technology was only available in five 8î models at the top of the line. Now SpeakerCraft is introducing the AIM 7 series of in-ceiling speakers. Designed to replace the CRS6, the best selling ceiling speaker line in the industry, these AIM speakers will offer larger 7 inch woofers and a independently pivoting 1inch dome tweeters concentrically mounted in a fully pivoting baffle similar to that of the AIM 8. This new series makes other similar priced ceiling speakers, that don't aim, obsolete. said Jeremy Burkhardt, President of SpeakerCraft. ìWe have seen such a dramatic shift from in-wall to in-ceiling speakers and the benefits of a fully pivoting speaker at these price points makes it hard to recommend anything else.î The fact that these 7 inch speakers produce more bass, higher sound pressure levels and fit into the same cut-out as all other 6 inch speakers, as well as being directional, would be enough to make them a sure-fire hit. But SpeakerCraft is offering all these improvements at no additional charge. The four models of the AIM 7 series will remain at the same price points as the CRS6 Two, Three, and Four, with the addition of a model Five at the top of the line. SpeakerCraft, established in 1976, devoted itself for more than a decade to the design and development of architectural loudspeakers and became known as the prime OEM for many well-known, in-wall speaker brands in the field. In marketing its own brand, now one of the widest lines of architectural speakers in the industry, SpeakerCraft brings with it years of experience and a dedication to dealer satisfaction. The four models of the AIM 7 series range in price from $425-$925 per pair MSRP
