Runcoís ìStars of Home Theaterî Debut At CEDIA EXPO 2005

10-Aug-05

Runco International is lining up a selection of projectors for the CEDIA EXPO 2005 home electronics show in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 9-12. Booth #124 in the Main Hall of the Indianapolis Convention Center will greet attendees with some of Runcoís newest innovations in projection systems, flat-panel displays, and image processing. In addition to announcing this yearís top-secret innovations, EXPO attendees will have access to the award-winning CineWideô with AutoScopeô technology. Rounding out the selection will be the Video Xtremeô and Reflection Seriesô of high-definition DLPô projectors; as well the entirely new line of Crystal Seriesô LCD Flat Panel Displays. ìCEDIA EXPO is a great venue to showcase all of our breakthrough innovations,î said Bob Hana, President of Runco International, Inc. ìThe show attracts a fine collection of custom installation specialists, which gives us the opportunity to present our latest technologies. With this yearís theme, ëStars of Home Theater,í weíre going to show theater enthusiasts and designers a new level of appeal and authenticity of viewing experience. Runco prides itself in continually being a forerunner in the high-end home theater market, and our technology portfolio at CEDIA will show the height of our innovation.î Through its pairing of exclusive processing and hand-crafted lens optics, CineWideô with AutoScopeô allows each equipped projector to take advantage of every pixel on its DMD chips, thereby producing a 2.35:1 image with enhanced resolution and increased brightness. Incoming video signals are first anamorphically ìsqueezedî to engage the full pixel array, then ìstretchedî by the projectorís custom lens to appear in the proper shape on screen. CineWideô eliminates black stripes on the top and bottom of the screen while preserving every single line of resolution available from the displayís chips, and the motorized AutoScopeô lens assembly allows viewers to switch to the new, extra-wide viewing mode with a single button-push. Runco International will also continue its reputation for ìBringing Hollywood Homeî by presenting the latest models in the Reflectionô Series, the CL-610/610LT and CL-810. These new projectors produce dazzling, big-screen pictures with high-definition clarity at an incredible value. Runco built the new CL-610/610LT and CL-810 to introduce its signature luxury home cinema experience to a growing audience of home theater enthusiasts. Runco started with its own SuperOnyxô technology, which uses cutting-edge Digital Light Processing (DLPô) technology, and added the new Selectable Lamp Intensity Control (SLICô) to generate a vibrant and color-saturated picture in widely varied viewing and lighting conditions.
