WSR Blogs

Widescreen Review has begun blogging. Here's what you can expect from us.

By Gary Reber

The Oxford American Dictionary defines “blog” as a Web site on which an individual or group of users produces an ongoing narrative. Its origin is derived from the term “Web log.” Well, Widescreen Review has begun writing our first WSR Blogs.

Two esteemed staff members of Widescreen Review and yours truly will launch the WSR Blogs: Danny Richelieu, Managing Editor, and Stacey Pendry, Research & Production Editor. Danny is a leading force in the editorial and Webzine direction and Stacey is responsible for our DVD and Blu-ray Disc™ review efforts.

Danny will initially focus his contribution to new equipment introductions and technology developments. Stacey will keep our readers up to date on the latest DVD and Blu-ray Disc title announcements and the special features to expect when the titles are released.

I will write on topics that I think will interest our readers including new technology developments and insider perspectives.

There is no set format or time limitation for the blogging, so you’ll want to click in often at www.widescreenreview.com to catch the latest postings of each contributor as they add new material and updates. We hope that you will enjoy our voices within the greater world of Weblogs. Eventually, we will implement a readers’ comment section should you want to weigh in on a particular posting.

The dedicated staff of the magazine and Webzine, and Marlene and I, thank you all for your continued support. Without you, we would not be able to stay the course and continue to educate.
