 Be among the fist to own the biggest grossing film of 2008 when The Dark Knight is released on standard DVD and Blu-ray™ December 9th. Academy Award® winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan is working once again with star, Christian Bale to reprise his role as the Caped One, Bruce Wayne. With scene-stealing performances from the late Heath Ledger as The Joker ,this darker and more ominous version of the Batman franchise is an instant must-own classic. The Dark Knight marks the first time a major feature film has been shot in part using IMAX® cameras, marking a revolutionary integration of film formats. The Blu-ray version takes advantage of the marriage of IMAX and 35mm formats by using the hybrid master to replicate the unique theatrical experience. The IMAX scenes will also be available on the two-disc special edition standard DVD as bonus materials. Both two-disc standard DVD and Blu-ray will be chocked full exciting special features including behind-the-scenes featurettes, galleries and a digital copy of the film. The Blu-ray will feature Warner Bros. foray into BD-Live™ functionalities, though specifics as to what the BD-Live capabilities will be have yet to be announced.
