Perfect Path™ Tackles Problem of Loose Cables With Innovative PerfectLock™ Locking RCA Cable

By Gary Reber

PPC® today announced the latest addition to the Perfect Path™ line of cutting-edge, professional-quality A/V interconnect cables and connectors: the PerfectLock™ Locking RCA Cable. Built to eliminate the problem of loose RCA cables, the innovative Locking RCA Cable features a unique design that allows the outer body of the connector to turn and lock down on the port for increased retention. The cable will make its debut at the 2010 International CES, in booth South 1 20959 in Las Vegas, Jan. 7-10.

When turned clockwise, an active wedge inside the Locking RCA Cable causes the outer ground shield to lock down on the port. This allows for a secure connection on RCA ports of any size with only a quarter turn and the cable is easily removed by turning it counterclockwise.

"We are pleased to offer our customers the new Locking RCA Cable, which joins our PerfectLock Locking HDMI Cable in providing consumers with the best-possible home theater experience by eliminating loose cables," said Eric Bodley, vice president and general manager of consumer electronics at PPC.

The Locking RCA Cable is available for component video, stereo audio, and digital coax/composite video applications. The cable offers true 75-ohm performance through the port, features a rugged construction from all-brass components and high-end plating, in-wall CL rated outer jackets, and is available in user-friendly lengths from four feet to 16 feet.
