It's Official—Tinker Bell Speaks!

By Stacey Pendry

Not since Greta Garbo uttered her first on-screen dialogue has a voice been so anticipated. Disney Home Entertainment is set to release the first in a series of feature-length CG animated Disney Fairy Films, Tinker Bell,  in which the spunky little sprite speaks for the first time. The movie will be available October 28th on standard DVD and Blu-ray™.

Voiced by Mae Whitman (Independence Day, One Fine Day) Tink is joined by a bevy of diminutive friends in "Pixie Hollow," the birthplace of all fairies.  Each fairy is born with a special talent, like making flowers grow or painting rainbows in the sky—but Tinker Bell is not impressed with her special talent and wishes to be like her other fairy friends.

Stuffed with a treasure-trove of captivating bonus features, including a multi-level set top "Tinker Trainer" game, an interactive "Magical Guide To Pixie Hollow," and additional behind-the-scenes featurettes, this marks Disney's first straight-to-disc title to be released in Blu-ray. Early adopter parents will be rewarded with exclusive Disney BD-Live features, which will
allow users to chat with each other while the movie plays, collect Movie Reward Points that can be redeemed for virtual jewelry for your fairy, and download exclusive Tinker Bell wallpaper.
