SENCORE Launches Fast, Accurate, Sturdy Klein K-10 Colorimeter

By Gary Reber

SENCORE, an engineering leader in high-quality signal transmission, today announced the addition of the Klein K-10 Colorimeter to its expanding portfolio of products. Fast, accurate, sensitive, and sturdy enough for field use, the Klein K-10 analyzes and measures light and color to support the best possible image quality in high-end audio/video and home cinema systems, display manufacture and QA, production and post production, digital cinema, and more.

SENCORE's new optical color meter incorporates 5-mm by 5-mm photodiodes and thermally stable components to deliver exceptionally reliable and accurate performance. In addition, highly precise spectral filters, along with a light mixing chamber, ensure that the photodiodes register the same light, whatever the probe's circular orientation. The Klein K-10 works fast at even extremely low light levels (.0001 fL) — with a sensor that takes 256 samples and resolves eight full meter updates every second.

"This is an incredibly fast color analyzer that measures accurately at the lowest possible light levels, allowing excellent calibration at near pure black," said Tom Stingley, SENCORE executive vice president of sales and marketing.

The Klein K-10 Colorimeter is a companion product for SENCORE's ColorPro by CalMAN™ software, the award-winning software tool that manages professional display calibration components and processes.
