    New manual projection screen with ground breaking safety feature available to the retail and educational sales channels

    Elite Screens, Inc. an innovative company that specializes in affordable high quality projector screens, today announced its Manual Projection Screen with a Slowed Retraction Mechanism or SRM. “It is a simple device that makes the operation of a manual projection screen so much more convenient, and it extends the product’s operational life span,” said David Rodgers, Marketing Manager, Elite Screens, Inc. “The SRM allows the presenter to pull the lanyard and let it go, allowing the screen to retract by itself without ever worrying about the material getting jerked up into the casing and consequentially damaged by the retraction spring.”

     

    The Manual SRM is a new concept in a well established product.  It features a Slow Retracting Mechanism (SRM) that permits the screen to retract slowly back into its casing without being assisted by the presenter.  Traditional manual projection screens have a spring-loaded mechanism that will retract the projection surface so quickly that the force of its return may actually knock the entire unit out of its installation.  This risk is eliminated with this added SRM safety feature.  Additional features include its auto locking mechanism for variable height settings, black masking borders, wide diffusion uniformity, lanyard for convenient operation and a revolutionary end cap design that accommodates both wall or ceiling installations.

     

    Manual Screen sizes are available from 85" to 120" with your choice of 1:1  and 4:3NTSC aspect ratios.

    Elite Screens' Manual SRM pricing starts at $89 (USD) and is available now through the commercial and retail sales channels.   It comes with Elite's two-year manufacturer's limited warranty, which is twice the industry standard.     Reason #25 Why Readers Love Widescreen Review:

    I want to see product reviews of home theatre equipment that non-millionaires can afford to own. Reading articles about $50,000 home theatre setups is admittedly rather fun but, in practical terms, the info is really useless to me. While Darling Wife and I make a decent living, there's no way we can spend that kind of money on a home theatre. What I also really like and want to see: Practical advice articles that help people who are at least minimally technically competent to assess their needs and assemble a home theatre. That is, a periodic (yearly? twice yearly?) in-depth look at points to consider and equipment to buy to assemble a good high definition home theatre. Ideally, it would examine several total package price points. If you're willing to spend $10,000, here's what we recommend in terms of equipment and how to connect/install them. If your budget is smaller, here's what we recommend. If your budget is somewhat larger than $10,000, do this instead. Yes, I know you have your reference systems section each month, but an explanatory article would be nice, too. Finally, keep us up-to-date on the development of high definition DVDs and DVD players. This is what I'd like to see.
