Motorized Wall Mount Changes TV Channel And Viewing Angle With Remote Control

By Gary Reber

Sanus Systems®, the leading global brand of audio/video mounts, furnishings and consumer electronics accessories, has announced it is now shipping the VisionMount® VLMF109 Motorized Full-Motion Mount, which offers smooth, ultra-quiet automated movement with an included IR remote control.

"With the VLMF109, users can change the channel on their TV and the viewing angle without ever leaving their seats," said Sanus Product Manager Jeff Lasch. "The VLMF109 is also incredibly quiet so it won't interrupt your TV program. In fact, it operates at just 35 decibels, which is as quiet as a library."

With fully automated movement, the VLMF109 can extend up to 9 inches from the wall and swivel up to 60 degrees. Thanks to the mount's incredibly slim 1.99-inch thick motor, when retracted, the TV sits only 2 inches from the wall for a low-profile appearance. The VLMF109 also includes two presets for achieving a perfect viewing angle with the touch of a button. To keep a clean aesthetic when turned off, the mount automatically returns to the home position.

The VLMF109 can be installed in just a few easy steps and is loaded with features. Lateral shift allows the user to
slide the TV left or right on the wall plate during installation, to center the TV, even with off-center studs. The open wall plate design allows plenty of space for routing cables through the wall, and it accommodates both 16-inch and 24-inch wall studs. The automatic setup feature detects the location of the wall and programs a stop-limit to ensure the TV will not make contact with the wall when the mount is swiveled.

The VisionMount VLMF109 Motorized Full-Motion Mount accommodates flat-panel TVs from 37 to 56 inches and up to 110 lbs. It is available for a list price of $429.99 USD.
