ADA Anounces Trinnov Room Correction

By Gary Reber

Trinnov is not some starship captain from an episode of Star Trek. Trinnov is not some dead Russian author. And Trinnov is not some trendy new restaurant.

Trinnov is the most compelling room correction process in the world and we are thrilled to introduce the first consumer optimizer series, the TEQ-4, TEQ-8 and TEQ-12 (4, 8 and 12 channels respectively) at this year's CEDIA Expo.

Simply said, the TEQ will properly calibrate the room's acoustics taking into account both speaker positioning and elevation. Using a four-microphone acoustical probe, the TEQ not only knows the speakers orientation, but also its exact position relative to the viewing surface.

Because the TEQ orients the room's direction, it permits you to create presets that allow for different seating positions and angles - you can even spin a room.

ADA will be displaying all three models in our Booth 711. Here will have an opportunity to check out the TEQ's features and setup. ADA is proud to have on hand for part of the show, Curt Hoyt of Trinnov who will be giving detailed introductions to the ADA TEQ.

For an active demo, ADA is proud to have been selected to power CEDIA's New Technology
Pavilion (Booth 3874). Running an 11.2 speaker array, the TEQ-12 will surely be put to the test. Come and judge for yourself.

Best New Product Finalist - Suite 32
We are extremely proud to announce that the incredible Suite 32 has been selected as a finalist for Best New Product.

Suite 32 is a "real" multi-room system that while deftly capable of handling 32 inputs, is expandable to 48 and even 64 source inputs. Sources can be located either at the mainframe or the remote rooms in which case their balanced audio output connects directly to the mainframe via Cat-5.

For remote room solutions, ADA offers both the SRS-L and SRS-A. The SRS-L is a Cat-5 to RCA balun that both takes in audio from a remote source and runs audio to the remote room (central audio to a TV set).

The SRS-A is similar to the SRS-L in that it sends audio to the mainframe and takes audio from the mainframe via Cat-5. The SRS-A also acts as a local integrated amplifier or power amplifier and features line outputs as well as two local inputs. The local inputs are independent in that one can be routed back to the mainframe for use elsewhere in the home while the other is played
locally.

Unlike clumsy matrix switchers that might feature a cheap VCA for audio control, the Suite 32 is a real ADA system, great sounding flexible and built to stand the test of time.
