Paradigm Reference Adds a Bold New Sub Packed With Innovation And Style

Boasting a versatile design, high-performance engineering and desirable vibration canceling architecture, the MilleniaSub isn’t messing around.

By Gary Reber

Through yet another breakthrough in unconventional subwoofer design, Paradigm Electronics Inc, the leader in international speaker design and manufacturing delivers the MilleniaSub, a Reference sub that boasts performance and affordability all in one sleek and unique cabinet. The MilleniaSub sports a form factor that’s small with a level of performance that’s large – keeping up with its peers in the Paradigm Reference line-up.

The MilleniaSub features known Paradigm Reference elements such as the famous corrugated surround to achieve greater excursion length than typical subs on the market and producing a hard to beat sound intensity. The design of the surround is similar to the RVC-12SQ in-wall subwoofer and consists of a 1" diameter voice coil and a high-energy density rare-earth ring ne odymium magnet. Showcasing a new FEA-optimized cone design, the MilleniaSub presents a significant increase in stiffness while maintaining the strength-to-weight ratio of the cone’s assembly. With a slender profile and 5-mm thick extruded aluminum cabinet, this sub virtually eliminates cabinet resonances within its operating band. The dual woofer back to back bipolar design is inherently
vibration cancelling for additional distortion reduction. And designed for flexibility, the MilleniaSub proudly carries Paradigm’s first wireless receiver and is compatible with Paradigm’s new PT-2 wireless transmitter (sold separately) – so long, RCA wires!

A revolution in subwoofer innovation, the industrial design of the MilleniaSub was conceived with maximum versatility in mind. While most subs are limited in placement due to acoustic properties of a room, wiring solutions and cabinet geometry, the MilleniaSub incorporates state-of-the-art technologies and materials to overcome these typical issues. Not only is the subwoofer wireless-ready, it can literally be placed anywhere in the room – mounted to the wall with the MilleniaSub custom wall bracket (sold separately), hidden under the couch for discrete installation or proudly on display in its low-profile cradle stand (included). And what’s more, this subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room without worry of ever present acoustical challenges by pairing it with Paradigm’s famous Perfect Bass Kit (PBK) room correction (sold separately).
