Inside the 3D pavilion at this year's InfoComm (June 15-17, 2011), Volfoni will be unveiling their latest product: SmartCrystal™ Pro. With SmartCrystal Pro, Volfoni now provides a passive system that works with any single-lens 3D projector. When placed directly in front of the projector lens, the SmartCrystal Pro polarization modulator generates 3D images onto a silver projection screen for viewing with passive glasses. Volfoni will also be releasing newly designed passive glasses that are extremely comfortable, durable, and lightweight. An ergonomic design that combines both high performance with top-notch engineering, Volfoni's SmartCrystalTM Pro is suitable for both professionals and consumers. It's perfect for boardroom presentations, conferences, classrooms, lectures, or any setting where high-quality simulation and visualization are key. SmartCrystal Pro is easy to set up with any single-lens 3D projector, thereby eliminating the alignment issues associated with dual projector systems. This brand new polarizer, made up of a multi-layer stack of liquid crystal elements based on Volfoni's, newly developed, Surface Switching Technology, allows for high-speed operation and optical efficiency, creating a crisp and bright 3D image. SmartCrystal Pro operates at 120Hz, creating sharp images and utilizes circular polarization to prevent loss of contrast should the viewer tilt his or her head. SmartCrystal Pro can be connected directly to any suitable 3D input source and works with projector strength up to 10,000 lumens. Volfoni's polarizer can also be connected to a computer via USB cable, allowing the user to adjust the settings of the LCD to optimize image quality for any venue. This is Volfoni's first entry into passive 3D systems. SmartCrystal Cinema is currently in development for larger venues. Volfoni is now covering all segments of the 3D market and is one of the rare companies in the world to provide a wide range of 3D technologies and products.
