Dear Gary:I’ve noticed in some DVD reviews that have “bright” soundtracks that you have to engage the “Cinema Re-EQ.” What do you do about “brightness” since my receiver does not have Cinema Re-EQ?

Editor Gary Reber Comments:
We have never advised our readers to purchase a receiver without a Cinema Re-EQ circuit. Without such a circuit you are limited to using tone controls to turn the treble down, but this is not a good solution. A Cinema RE-EQ circuit is optimized for re-equalizing movie soundtracks for home listening.
