Dear Gary:We have just finished reading the article about “New DVI HDMI Interface—Will Full-Resolution Analog HDTV Outputs Co-Exist?” in Issue 61, June. We applaud and support you and Widescreen Review in your campaign to ensure that our SharpVision 34N-WF5H HDTV will continue receiving HDTV programming. We feel we were early adopters and supporters of HDTV programming. We have a DISH Network Model 6000 and thoroughly enjoy HDTV.f our HDTV becomes obsolete, we will not buy another HDTV for several years! We won’t until we see that things are set in stone. Still, we would be glad that we made the purchase of our HDTV for DVDs and Xbox (it looks incredible). We have an 8-VSB tuner cartridge for local digital and may get a JVC D-VHS HM-DH30000U, but that’s not the point. People like us have helped to get this launched and this is how they want to thank us? All we want is to have high resolution TV. Keep up the good work!

I will continue to pledge the magazine’s efforts to insure that full-resolution analog component video outputs are standard on HDTV output devices.
