Gefen HDMI And DVI Switchers

We were thrilled to read your assessment of Gefen’s HDMI and DVI Switchers for home entertainment systems in Issue 104, January (Gefen Digital Video Switchers, page 34). In response to the reviewer’s conclusion that his “only disappointment with this 4x1 HD Digital Audio Switcher is that is does not have the same physical format as the 6x2 HDMI Switcher, which is rack-mount width with all cable connectors on the rear panel,” we are pleased to inform your readers that subsequent versions of the 4x1 HD Switchers have been redesigned to supply all DVI or HDMI connectors on the back end. They have also been very slightly weighted to prevent any top-overs from occurring with all the cables connected on one side. Additionally, we are now offering many of our switchers encased in a black metallic box to better blend with other rack essentials
