“A New Viewing Experience”

Dear Gary:

I just finished reading Part I of John Bishop’s “A New Viewing Experience,” and I have to tell you how excited I am about reading the next installment. As he mentions, this IS the most exciting thing in home theatre right now and exactly what turns me on the most in my home screening room designs. As usual, Widescreen Review found the pulse of the genre again. By the way, your readers may enjoy a great Web site (www.widescreenmuseum.com) that I’m sure you’re aware that explains the history of CinemaScope® and how it was inspired, by what the author calls, “the single greatest moment in the history of film after sound.” That, of course, was Cinerama®.

Editor-In-Chief and Publisher Gary Reber Comments:

I previously had written an article in Issue 100 , September 2005 on the Runco innovation CineWide™ in order to introduce the concept to our readers. John Bishop’s excellent three-part series fully describes the new world of home “cinema” that is now possible in our home theatres. This is indeed an exciting event for home theatre enthusiasts to celebrate.
