Dear Gary: Your magazine is hands down the best concerning home theatre, and I read them all. The information I have gotten from Widescreen Review is unsurpassed in both volume and importance where an impressive home theatre is desired. I had a setup for a while that I believed to sound good, and then I came across a back issue of your magazine (Issue 15). In it were two major articles on proper home theatre setup. I thoroughly read and began to implement the articles’ requisites for a great theatre. I had no idea the tremendous sound I had been sitting on all that time, and I’ve been an audiophile (music) for a long time. I’m now transported to the places on screen, literally dropped right into different venues. No longer can I locate my surrounds (direct radiators no less!!!) and I can now hear all the information in my mains that previously were drowned out by my prominent center. Simply a circle of well delineated sounds all around me with no gaps. I’ve only experienced this once before (in a high-end shop with gear 3-4 times my Polk-Yamaha setup). Thanks to that issue and all of your others, my setup sounds better than what I hear in most home theatre stores for much more $$$s!!!

I am pleased that you benefited from our extensive writings on system setup in Issue 15. Recently, we have been focusing on subwoofer setup (see Audio Editor Richard Hardesty’s review of subwoofers in this issue).
