Two years after a clash of egos forced Mystery, Inc. to close its doors, crime-solving Great Dane Scooby-Doo and his clever cohorts Fred (Prinze Jr.), Daphne (Gellar), Shaggy (Lillard), and Velma (Cardellini) are individually summoned to Spooky Island to investigate a series of paranormal incidents at the ultra-hip Spring Break hot spot. Concerned that his frightfully popular resort might truly be haunted, Spooky Island owner Emile Mondavarious (Atkinson) tries to reunite those notoriously meddling detectives to solve the mystery before his supernatural secret scares away the college crowds. Based, obviously, on the Hanna-Barbera cartoons...the movie often aims below the belt for laughs rather than solving mysteries. (Suzanne Hodges)
