Special Notes:
Also available in an "Italian Job" 2-Pack.

Story Synopsis:
Charlie Croker (Caine) is a con just getting out of jail in "The Italian Job." He has a plan to take on the mob, the police, and gridlocked traffic on the streets of Turin to rob a shipment of gold, which could make him rich or leave him dead. Prepare yourself as Croker and his pack of criminal pals move from their plan to the robbery and escape to an ending surely to keep you on the edge of your seat in anticipation. (Gary Reber)

DVD Picture:
Although appearing a bit dated, the anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture is quite clean and satisfying. Images can be pleasantly sharp, though finer details and textures are limited. Colors are nicely saturated, though fleshtones can appear a bit brownish at times. The source element is revealing of frequent flecks of dirt and some film grain. The picture can be slightly dark, with contrast that seems a bit low at times. Minor smearing and loss of finer details is occasionally evident, as is minor pixel breakup. Edge enhancement is not much of a problem with this title, appearing only occasionally in the higher contrast scenes. (Suzanne Hodges)
