  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
The Unrated Director

DVD Picture:
Compared to the previously released non-anamorphic DVD, this new anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibtis a considerably cleaner picture, with images that are sharp and nicely detailed. At times, images can appear softly focused or slightly burred. While the picture often has a dim character, colors are rich and well balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Sometimes edge enhancement can be a problem. (Suzanne Hodges)

Soundtrack:
The 5.1-channel remastered audio presentations are both certainly substantial in overall volume, tending to sound rather loud and forward. Still, the use of the spatial soundstage is distinguished throughout, with dynamic and aggressive engagement of the surrounds. The music most frequently shapes the soundtrack
