Subscribe Free"Personal Velocity" explores the lives of three different women each of whom are trying to escape the sadness of their past. Delia (Sedgwick) grew up in an unhappy, fractured household and married an abusive man when she was young. Greta (Posey) was raised as the daughter of a successful lawyer (Liebman) but could do nothing to please him no matter what she did. Full of self doubt, she chose a career editing cookbooks after dropping out of law school. And Paula (Balk) also came from an unhappy home where she ran away and moved in with her boyfriend. When she found herself pregnant, she took off one more time and picked up a young boy who had obviously just been beaten. As the three very different but very much alike women embark on their journeys, one has to wonder if they are really running from their past or just creating newer versions of their same lives. Based on the book by Rebecca Miller. (Tricia Littrell)
