Story Synopsis:
All it takes is one wild night in Manhattan to teach a boy how to become a man. Roger Dodger is that one night crash course in the seduction of a woman, with playboy Roger (Scott) at the helm and his naive nephew Nick (Eisenberg) watching closely. A talented talker who can B.S. his way into any skirt, Roger finds during the course of the night that he still has quite a bit to learn about women...and himself. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits sharp and nicely detailed images, with well-balanced contrast and shadow delineation. Since the movie takes place over the course of one night, viewing in a completely blackened room is recommended for the dark scenes, though visual information is quite acceptable throughout. Colors are nicely saturated, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues, and deep blacks. The shaky camerawork can be a bit dizzying at times. Occasionally, the picture has a hard edge, with apparent pixelization and minor edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
