The young man decides that he doesn't need any counseling, but Dr. Davenport won't be put off and drags Antwone in to talk. For weeks he refuses to say a word but the good doctor won't give in to him and eventually Antwone starts opening up. As he shares the secrets of his painful past, the angry young man discovers something about himself that he didn't understand and begins to search for the family he never knew. Denzel Washington makes his directorial debut in this film based on a true story. (Tricia Littrell)
