However, he suddenly sits up, gets dressed, and walks out of his room. After being taken in and cared for by a charitable woman the stranger discovers that he has no memory of his former life, and The Man Without A Past works towards building a new future for himself. As he makes acquaintances and friends and becomes romantically involved with Irma (Outinen), the man with no name is happy with his life and where it is headed. But when his wife and his past catch up with him, suddenly nothing makes sense and he has to come to terms with who he really is. (Tricia Littrell)
