Story Synopsis:
An outbreak of a mysterious rage virus results in a homicidal rampage in the streets of London after some undereducated animal rights activists free an infected chimpanzee from captivity in a lab. Waking from a coma 28 Days Later, Jim walks the deserted streets unaware of what had happened. When he finds a few survivors in a seemingly abandoned church, he learns of the horror that has overcome the city. They must fight against infection by rage-ravaged citizens lurking in the shadows, and hope beyond all hope that the epidemic has not spread to other countries. (Suzanne Hodges)

DVD Picture:
The DV-originated images on this anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD are accurately transferred, with all the anomalies that are expected from a video source. The picture is mostly dim, but the frightening opening sequence exhibits good shadow delineation. There are hard edges, limited fine details, blown-out windows, and halos around objects. Colors are generally undefined with limited delineation, almost appearing to be blocks of color. Aliasing and stairstepping artifacts are also noted. While there are some scenes that actually look quite pleasing, the picture is really nothing to show off to your friends regarding visual presentation. (Suzanne Hodges)
