  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Wanting to provide a safe place for their kids to grow up, New Yorkers Cooper and Leah Tilson (Quaid and Stone) move upstate to the lovely Cold Creek Manor in the country. The manor is in need of some TLC since it had been repossessed, but before long the Tilsons have it fixed up and are settling in. Enter Dale Massie (Dorff), who has just been released from prison and wants his house back. Cooper and Leah Tilson soon learn that the Massie family and the manor have an awful past, and a fight for the home will turn deadly with Dale around. (Suzanne Hodges)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture is sharp and detailed, with nicely balanced contrast and shadow delineation. Even in the darker scenes, just enough visual information is apparent to aid in heightening the suspense. Colors are nicely balanced with satisfying fleshtones and deep blacks. It is unfortunate that edge enhancement can be bothersome, but pixel breakup is minor. (Suzanne Hodges)
