Story Synopsis:
Tom Jones performs an exciting concert "Live At Cardiff Castle." Recorded over a three-night weekend, the concert covers some of his own music from over the past 37 years, as well as the music of other renowned recording artists, including INXS (
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD, framed at 1.78:1, exhibits image quality that varies, depending on the source camera used during the concert. At times, the footage of Jones and his band can be nicely rendered, with vibrant colors and deep black backgrounds. Other shots appear blurry or downright smeared, especially those of the audience. Some aliasing problems are noticed, as well as noise and edge halos. Much of what makes this picture unappealing for home theatre demonstration is related to the source element, but fans of Tom Jones are likely to grab this DVD just for the music; and, therefore, should be satisfied.
