    Story Synopsis:
    A young Irish couple and their two daughters have just crossed over the Canadian border and, once they

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture exhibits pleasing images that complement the storytelling. The picture is sharp with satisfying details and definition, as well as nicely rendered contrast and shadow delineation. Often exhibiting cooler hues with a blue tinge in the color scheme, the picture has a bit of an isolating visual tone. Still, colors pop from the nighttime carnival scene and autumn hues are warm. Pixelization and edge enhancement are minimal in their distractions, though finicky viewers may find the edge halos bothersome in the higher contrast scenes. Overall, this is a lovely picture. (Suzanne Hodges) The disc also includes a modified 1.33:1 (4:3) full screen version of the movie -- not reviewed.
