A stunning gemstone with the image of a leaping cat inside its facets is the cause of all the hilarious ruckus in the classic comedy, "The Pink Panther." David Niven stars as Sir Charles a.k.a.
While the previous DVD release was non-anamorphic, this new anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD looks great, with a nicely saturated color scheme offering accurate fleshtones, rich hues, and generally deep blacks. Sharpness and detail are surprisingly satisfying, with nicely rendered textures. Still, the picture can look a little bit dated, with some softer scenes, but the source element is quite clean with few distracting artifacts. There is some minor pixel breakup detected at times, but edge enhancement is not obtrusive with this title. (Suzanne Hodges)
Hearing the very recognizable "Pink Panther" theme song for the film in 5.1-channel surround sound is most excellent! The remastered Dolby

For all of those reasons, WSR is a must-subscribe for any HT enthusiast, and that is why I read it!
