  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
During the politically turbulent late-1960s in Paris, American Student Matthew (Pitt) engulfs himself in studies and French cinema. When Matthew meets cinema-obsessed Isabelle (Green) and her close (very close) brother, Theo (Garrel), he is invited to live with them. And while the political revolution rages on outside, the three cinemaphiles become involved in adolescent sexual games and one-upmanship. The Dreamers is based on Gilbert Adair

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture is quite lovely, with an enveloping color palette that is nicely saturated. While hues are often awash in moody warm hues, (the plentiful) fleshtones are well balanced and blacks are deep and solid. The picture is sharp and nicely textured, with pleasing contrast and shadow delineation. There is no obtrusive edge enhancement or pixelization noticed. (Suzanne Hodges)

Soundtrack:
Dialogue reproduction is natural with good tonal characteristics in this Dolby
