    Story Synopsis:
    In Scooby-Doo 2, Mystery Inc. members Fred (Prinze Jr.), Daphne (Gellar), Velma (Cardellini), Shaggy (Lillard), and good old Scooby are back in Coolsville. At the grand opening of the Coolsonian Criminology Museum the heroes of the night are the guests of honor after donating the costumes of criminals they have unmasked. But when the Monsters are Unleashed and come back to life there's trouble ahead, and it's up to the gang to put an end to the mayhem that has taken over the city. (Tricia Littrell)

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture is extremely colorful with a lighthearted resemblance to the look of the cartoon on which the film is based. While the picture is sharp and detailed, images can, at times, have a blurry appearance. Pixelization can seem bothersome at times, with a digital breakup of finer details, but the adolescent target audience should not be distracted. Edge enhancement, however, is virtually undetectable.     I'm a fairly avid home theatre enthusiast and like to keep up on all of the most recent development and progress relating to A/V equipment and digital media. Of all of the publications related to this topic, WSR is the most complete, most thorough, and has become the champion of enthusiasts, such as myself, in fighting for the best possible presentation of audio and video in consumer electronics and broadcast media. In addition to the very informative columns, I am very appreciative of WSR's equipment reviews and its commitment to providing a relatively honest opinion of each product. It's refreshing to see a review that does not conclude with: If you like red LED displays, don't mind just slightly bright and forward sounding gear, and absolutely have to have to have your equipment in a gold-tone color, you should go to your nearest XYZ dealer and give an audition. It’s reviews like this that leave me mystified as to why people even bother reading these other publications. I hope that WSR continues its excellent work.
