    Story Synopsis:
    Taking advantage of a sweet little old lady (Johnson), Professor Marcus (Guinness) rents a room from her by posing as a musician. What he really is, however, is a thief, and he and his group of thugs have plans to commit a robbery. When they believe that Mrs. Wilberforce has discovered their secret, the gang feels that she has to be eliminated, thus planning to become The Ladykillers. (Tricia Littrell)

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced windowboxed 1.66:1 DVD picture exhibits dated fidelity with a color scheme that is balanced, but somewhat weak. There are also minor fluctuations noticed in regard to color saturation. The picture is also quite soft overall, though details can be adequate. While edge enhancement and pixelization are not a problem with this title, its lack of definition and minor anomalies cause the picture to appear mediocre at best. (Suzanne Hodges)
