  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
As Ted (Bridges) and Maron (Basinger) Cole try to cope with severe depression and life after the death of their two teenage sons, Ted seeks the affections of a mistress (Rogers) while Marion lives in virtual silence. Their young survivng daughter struggles with nightmares and tries to make a connection with the photos of her brothers throughout the house. When Ted hires a prep-school student (Foster) to help with editing a manuscript, the Coles emotional journey comes to a breaking point. The Door In The Floor is based on the novel "A Window For One Year" by John Irving. (Suzanne Hodges)

Soundtrack:
