The Ghost In The Shell saga continues with Innocence, a fantastic, futuristic tale that follows crimefighters Batou and Togusa who are on assignment to track down several murderous androids that have revolted against humans. DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture exhibits image quality and animation that can look absolutely unbelievable! Colors pop from the screen and break from the depths of deep, shadowy blacks. There is a bit of a gritty texture to the picture, which provides a look that is reminiscent of stylized thrillers. Glowing and hazy areas of the picture help create a moody atmosphere. The picture is incredibly stylish, with impressive attention to detail. There are no bothersome edge halos to complain about, though some pixelization is occasionally noticed. (Suzanne Hodges)
