    The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture is visually exciting with the effects and wildly creative opening credit sequence, but the picture quality is variable (no doubt due to the 5 Mbps or lower average bit rate). While colors at times appear washed out and overly contrasted, other scenes offer pleasing saturation. Images can be sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered textures, though some scenes appear a bit soft. Reds are bold and often pop from the screen, providing visual contrast to the drab browns in the newspaper office. The Super 35-originated images are revealing of fine film grain.
