Story Synopsis:


DVD Picture:
With the mid-1930s Dust Bowl era setting the stage for the traveling carnival, plenty of brown hues adorn the color palette. Hues are complementary to the setting of the story, often appearing understated. Fleshtones are well balanced, and blacks are deep and solid; often warranting a completely blackened viewing environment. Sharpness and details are nicely rendered throughout, while sometimes the picture has a soft appearance. Smearing is occasionally noticed, but rarely much of a distraction. The episodes are not overcrowded on the six discs, so compression anomalies are not a burden. (Suzanne Hodges/Gary Reber)
