Marlee Matlin stars as Amanda whose uninspired life tumbles down a metaphysical rabbit hole, revealing the uncertain world of the quantum field hidden behind what we consider to be our normal, waking reality. The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture is a creative and intriguing visual experience that nicely complements the thought-provoking subject matter. Visual effects and animations are integrated with live action, creating hallucinogenic visuals. Colors can be overly saturated and vibrantly unrealistic, but suitable for the otherworldly visuals. Minor smearing is evident, as images sometimes lack natural definition and clarity. There is some edge enhancement and minor pixelization, but nothing that is terribly distracting from the visuals.
