Special Features
Special features include the following featurettes: the five-minute "Team America An Introduction," a 13-minute look at the various sets used in the film entitled "Building The World," the eight-minute self-explanatory "Crafting The Puppets," "Pulling The Strings," which is an interesting 10-minute look into the job of the puppeteers, "Capturing The Action," seven minutes with photographer Bill Pope, ASC, five minutes of the various explosions throughout the film called "Miniature Pyrotechnics," and "Up Close With Kim Jong-II," a five-minute look at the villain in the film. "Dressing Room Test" is, well..., what exactly is it? Two minutes of amusement with puppet Gary in his dressing room. "Puppet Test" is a strange little four-minute set of scenes with one of the puppets in the movie. There are five deleted/extended scenes and outtakes, "Gary Outside Of The Tavern," "I'll Never Be A Racist Again," "Gary Fights The Guards," "You're Puppets!", and "You're Gay Now." There are also two theatrical trailers, previews, and upfront ads.

  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
With the world on the brink of disaster and terrorists running loose with weapons of mass destruction, it's up to "Team America" and their "World Police" to save the day. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, may not amuse everyone who watches these puppets in action, but it's an entertaining and clever political satire, nonetheless. (Tricia Littrell)

DVD Picture:
The jaw-dropping sets, puppets, and miniatures are perfectly captured here on this anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD. Colors are outstanding, with rich saturation, natural puppet skin-tones, and the deepest blacks. The picture is sharp and detailed, with superb definition and clarity. Distractions are limited, with rarely a glimpse of edge enhancement or pixelization. (Suzanne Hodges)
