  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
After being raised by a neurotic mother (Lange), Elizabeth (Ricci) finally leaves home and goes off to Harvard to study journalism. But try as she might to live the carefree life of a college student, Lizzie just can't seem to escape the depression that has taken over her life. Seeking help from Dr. Sterling (Heche), Lizzie hopes to finally find happiness, but happiness doesn't seem possible as she continues to push away anyone she has ever cared about. "Prozac Nation" is based on a true story and on the book by Elizabeth Wurtzel. (Tricia Spears)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD picture exhibits generally pleasing quality throughout. The color scheme is well balanced, with natural fleshtones and deep blacks. At times, the picture appears just slightly undersaturated. Images are sharp and nicely detailed, with satisfying contrast and shadow delineation. There are a few occasions in which edge enhancement is noticed, and minor pixelization is also present at times. (Suzanne Hodges)
