  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Joseph Conrad

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD picture exhibits imagery suitable to this dark period thriller. Yet, blacks seem to lack true depth in many scenes, appearing slightly milky. Otherwise, fleshtones are well balanced, and hues are generally accurate. The picture offers satisfying sharpness and detail. While no obtrusive edge enhancement is noticed, there is some pixelization apparent at times. (Suzanne Hodges)
