Includes commentary with director George Romero, producer Peter Grunwald, and editor Michael Doherty; the following featurettes: "Undead Again: The Making Of Land Of The Dead" (13 minutes); "A Day With The Living Dead" (eight minutes); "Bringing The Dead To Life" (ten minutes); and "When Shaun Met George" an amusing 13 minute featurette with stars from "Shaun of the Dead" on their cameos in Land Of The Dead. "Scenes Of Carnage" shows some of the more gruesome scenes played to the sound of classical music, and finally there is the three-minute "Zombie Effects: From Green Screen To Finished Scene." Story Synopsis:
Caught between the land of the living and the "Land Of The Dead" is the plot of this movie. Zombies gain limited intelligence and decide to extract revenge on humans residing in the fortified city. Meanwhile, the greedy humans are fighting amongst themselves. (Tricia Spears)

DVD Picture:
A dark, gloomy grayish-blue color palette is often the setting for the on-screen action, although there are times when colors are richly saturated and pop from the screen. Images are sharp and detailed on this anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD, with satisfying contrast and shadow delineation. Some of the darker scenes appear slightly milky and occasionally soft. There is little bothersome edge enhancement or pixelization to detract from the picture, and overall the visual experience is very pleasing. (Suzanne Hodges)
