  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Originally made for TV as a sequel to the 1975 film "Scenes From A Marriage," Ingmar Bergman's "Saraband" tells the story of Marianne (Ullmann), a woman who decides to pay a visit to her ex-husband Johan (Josephson) 30 years after their divorce. While there with Johan and his family, Marianne can't help but become involved in the unfolding drama that surrounds them all. (Tricia Spears)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture exhibits satisfying quality throughout, offering naturally balanced colors. Images are pleasantly sharp and detailed, although sometimes images are a bit soft. There is no bothersome edge enhancement and little pixelization, for a clean visual experience overall.
